Let Me Reintroduce Myself

Hi! I'm Sara Ann Comte.

Sara's new brand

Maybe you know me. Or some iteration of me.

I've been online for some years, running some form of content through blog and website. It's changed. Do you remember when I wanted to be a DIY/crafter? That was a long time ago. I don't remember what happened to those posts. Maybe you haven't been around that long.

Over the past some odd years I've tried a lot of things. The blog and my content have seen many transformations. But one thing has not changed, my love for sharing my passions, stories, and thoughts.

Let Me Reintroduce Myself

For those just getting to know me or those who have known me in the past and want to reconnect, let me re-introduce myself.

I'm a mom, wife, author, yogi, wanna-be homesteader, Christian, member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Utah-born lady, food lover, baker, and more.

I put mom and wife first because I treasure these archetypes most dearly. I married my best friend at 28 and waited a long time through infertility and endometriosis to finally welcome our miracle baby into our lives. I'm also a puppy momma to the cutest Chihuahua named Obi--yes, after Obi-wan Kenobi.

One day I will have a homestead. We tried in Missouri but things didn't work out the way we hoped. Now we live on a small lot where I can at least practice a small garden. But I hope to have our homestead one day with a big garden, chickens, and maybe some rabbits.

I embrace and follow Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. There are many who would argue that members of my particular faith are not Christian, but just because my theology doesn't match the major Christian denominations doesn't mean I don't give Jesus my full heart. He is and will forever be my rock and redeemer. I don't have to add this to my introduction, I know that. But it is important to me. And I plan to make my faith a major part of my brand, blog, and online content.

I was born in good ol' Central Utah. It's a beautiful place and I love when I get to go back and visit. We currently reside in Pennsylvania and are enjoying our time here. We've traveled and lived in a lot of places. And in every place we have had amazing experiences, especially through the beautiful people we have come to know.

I love food. I don't know how much content I'll add about food, but it is a love of mine. When I'm bored or feeling the sugar cravings, you can usually find me in the kitchen baking something up. My favorite things to make are usually pies, cakes, and cookies, but I like to try other things too.

I am a yogi. I have my 200-hour yoga teaching certificate and hope to expand to 500 hours. I've taught mainly online over the years and plan to get back to providing yoga video content shortly. I love yoga and all that entails: the breath work, the movement, the meditation, and even the philosophy and theology. Even though my faith is rooted in Jesus Christ, I find many similarities that help strengthen my faith and help me understand the world around me.

I am a writer and author. I graduated UVU some years ago with a Bachelors' Degree in Creative Writing and a Technical Communications Certificate. After college, I took my writing to the marketing and corporate world where I expanded my knowledge to corporate storytelling, online marketing, data analysis, and more. I published my first short novella called Brita On Fire, and I've been working on a lot more. I have many ideas and can't wait to get them into the world.

So What's Up Now? Why Are You Here?

I'm not sure how to completely answer that last question. But I hope you're here because you're interested in my content and this new journey I'm about to embark on with my updated brand.

As for what I do... I write. I love writing. I love words. I love the feel of the keys responding to my movements on the keyboard. I love putting words together to form interesting stories or thoughts.

As I mentioned in the beginning of this post, over the years I've experimented a lot with what I want to blog about. It's changed a lot. I don't regret it. I'm thankful that I've given myself time to try new things and learn what interests me.

And what I have found is that stories are what interest me the most. Stories about life, people, places, adventures, heartaches, experiences... Stories in all their forms--poetry, short story, long story, essays, personal growth... And that's what I want to share.

I haven't written much in the last few years and I miss it. I miss creating and sharing. It's time to start again and embrace what I truly love.

Welcome to the New Me/Brand

Again, let me reintroduce myself, or the new me.

ree

I'm officially re-launching my blog and website today. You can still find all my old posts from the past but under new categories: stories, poetry, memoir, inspirational, news, writing, and books. I'm excited for the content I have planned.

In the coming months, I will re-launch my yoga, renamed Yoga by Sara. My new yoga videos will center around story and writing. I have some really fun ideas in the works for this and can't wait to share with you.

Also coming is a podcast that I'll first launch on YouTube. If you were with me a few years ago, you might remember that my husband and I ran a podcast. I loved and miss that experience and am excited for Life by Sara Podcast coming soon.

AND... I can't forget my books. I've been working on a full-length novel for a few years. I've put it on hold for too long and am excited to finalize it before the end of the year. I don't know when it will be available next year, but that is my goal. I can't wait to share it with the world!

And that's it. It's a lot. And I am so excited. I hope you'll stay with me through this new and amazing next chapter. Thank you for supporting me this far!
