I’m pretty biased about this, I know. But if you know Scott, you know how incredible he is. And people LOVE him. It’s true.
nn
The first time I saw him, he walked into the church and a large group of guys on the other side of the gym yelled, “Scott Comte!”
nn
And when we went to his 10-year high school reunion, we were an hour late. But when we walked into the room, everyone yelled, “Scott Comte!”
n
What Makes Him So Great?
Oh, I could sit here forever and list his great qualities and still not get through them all. But, I’ll take the time to explain a few.
n
He’s Funny
He’s been told by many people, including me, that he should be a comedian. He knows how to make people laugh. And he can really get me going.
n
He’s Kind
He truly loves people, even those he meets for the first time. He will go out of his way to help someone when he sees a need, like taking a guy in the Dairy Queen driveway across the road or offering to drive a stranger who is carrying an arm full of groceries home.
n
He’s Easy and Nice to Talk to
This attracted me to him, especially since our first encounter was a five-hour road trip to Lake Powell with lots of time to talk. He truly knows how to have a good conversation as he listens closely to others and gives great feedback, reactions, and insight.
n
He’s a Hard Worker
When he puts his mind to something, he gets it done. He works hard at his jobs (professional, marital, home, church, etc.) He cares a lot about the work he does and always wants to do better.
n
He Loves Me
It’s the last one I’ll mention here, and it’s my favorite. I am so thankful everyday that he loves me so much and I get to spend my life with him. He makes my days better, makes me smile, and believes in me. I couldn’t ask for a better companion to go through this crazy life with.

Today Is Scott’s Birthday
So I’m dedicating this post to him–my love, my greatest support and number-one fan, the father to my baby bump, my best friend.
nn
We haven’t spent his birthday together in a couple years, since 2018 when we celebrated in a hotel we were living in for a month. I barely missed his birthday in 2019 when I flew out to Dubai to meet him for a few days. And last year he was stuck in Afghanistan, getting ready to come home, but not quite able to yet.
nn
So this year we’re celebrating Comte style. We took a trip to Utah, for a few other reasons, and are living it up eating our favorite foods and watching a Marvel movie.
nn
Last night we enjoyed a yummy cake with his family. Can you guess what kind of cake? Yellow cake with chocolate frosting and a wonderful surprise of pretzels in the middle and as decoration. He loves pretzels.
nn
Just look at that beautiful cake!
n
In short, Scott is the best. I love him! I love him! I love him!
n
Happy Birthday, Scott!
I hope it’s a great one!
