I have something to admit. I have a fascination with makeup, but have done very little to satisfy that fascination. My fascination especially lies in fantasy makeup, where the makeup artist does some beautiful artwork on someone’s face. You know what I’m talking about—those mermaid looks, or glittery eyes, or unicorn styles.
So, I decided to finally satisfy my fantasy makeup fascination with the help of my sister, Kelsey Holman. She studied both cosmetology and etiology and currently works as a recruiter for a school that teaches both.
When I brought up my idea for this special makeup project, she responded right away with an enthusiastic, “Yes!”
So, I drove down to Las Vegas this last weekend and we had a blast creating a look that is perfect for February and the love that is this month (not only Valentine’s Day but also my eight-year anniversary).
Without further ado—I know, let’s get on with it—I present to you the results:
Kelsey did a fantastic job and we both had a ton of fun. I think we’ll make this fantasy makeup thing a thing and do it again.
