The Elephant Thief by Jane Kerr
This is my latest read, and it is beautifully told. This story about a street thief and an elephant takes you on a journey from Edinburgh, Scotland, to Manchester, England. The boy and the elephant, both full of scars, develop a beautiful relationship, and the boy comes to own a new identity, very different from his street life.

Thank you to my mother-in-law who always knows the best books to send us. Definitely a must read!
Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness
